Hi.

Welcome to my blog where I will be documenting my journey to a happier, healthier lifestyle.

Happiness.

Today I was struggling with what exactly I wanted to blog about this week. It’s not that I couldn’t think of a topic, it was that I literally couldn’t choose. And nothing was making me feel passionate. So to clear my thoughts I decided to pop in the bath with the Lush Golden Wonder bath bomb. Nothing in this world makes me happier than this bath bomb! It’s absolutely beautiful, the smell is out of this world and it has soooo much GLITTER!

So as I was in the tub I started reflecting on my weekend and thinking about everything that happened. Friday I got to have a quiet night in with a cheeky little takeaway and Netflix. I facetimed with my best friend, Spencer, from California and we planned his trip to Louisiana for Mardi Gras. Words cannot explain how excited I am for this kid to be here!

Then on Saturday I spent the afternoon with my family. We went to brunch and spent some time shopping and I stumbled across this beautiful quote

It’s so simple and so true. So I’m going to strive to live by these 6 rules because who doesn’t want to be happy… am I right?

Then I went and watched the LSU vs Alabama game at my friend, Meghan’s house. It was absolutely lovely. I got to catch up with all my friends that I hadn’t seen in so long. And I remember sitting there and taking it all in… and just thinking about how these are the moments we’re going to tell our kids about. These silly nights where we’re all crowded in our friends garage, drinking beer and watching football on a rainy, Saturday night.

Then today I woke up and went outside to let the pups out and the weather was absolutely amazing. So I decided to sit on the swing for a bit because the sun was out and there was a slight breeze which made it feel like a perfect autumn day. It was so lovely to have sunshine because the past few weeks have been super gloomy.

So as finished up my bath and my reflecting about how wonderful this weekend was and how happy it made me… I look over at the bottle of body wash and it’s called “happiness”. And I laughed and thought well this has to be a sign...so bam that’s how this post came to be.

It’s the little things in life that we take for granted. I had an amazing weekend with the people I love, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Sometimes we have to take a step back when we are in the moment and appreciate the little things. Because life goes by way to fast to overlook the little things that bring us so much happiness.

Just a few things I want you to know:
